You can get your keyboard backing tracks on this site by going to the dowloadable backing tracks page. Like all of the tracks on this site they’re available with the click track on the left and the keyboard track on the right side.

The advantages of using tracks are obvious. It enables you to be able to cover songs that previously may have been difficult or even impossible. It enables you to do these songs without having to worry about hiring a full time keyboard player. This is a bonus because you have one less member to pay and you don’t have to keep him busy in songs that really don’t require a keyboard part.

I’ve been in bands where we’ve been able to pull off a song without using a keyboard part and have had some success doing it, but using the proper backing track has enabled us to be able to perform songs exactly as they are intended to be performed. It makes a difference too. I can’t count the number of people that have come to me to tell me what a ‘perfect’ job we did covering one song or another, and that they loved it. For all the people I’ve played in front of, I’ve only had a small handful come to me and ask who was playing the keyboard parts.

When you’re using keyboard back tracks the only thing your audience is going to notice is that you sound amazing and most of them will never be able to put their finger on why you do. Remember this too, the better you sound, the more your audience will respond. The more they respond, the more they’ll remember you. The more they remember you the more likely they are to come and see you next time. It really pays to do it right.
